About the project
Goals Annual mechanized extraction of 1500000 tons of ROM (Run Of Mine) coal and producing 750000 tons of coal concentrate to be used in steel industries (phase one of the project)
Project details Tabas coal mine mobilization project is the first mechanized coal extraction project in Iran that uses mine machineries like Road Header, Shearer& Continuous Miner to extract coal. A turnkey contract based on financing with the insurance coverage of Italian export insurance organization (SACE) was concluded in 1378 between the client and IRITEC- Irasco consortium and became effective in 1380.
Based on the Addendum signed in 1383, the consortium is also responsible for the underground tunnels advancement operation.
