About the project

Goals Establishing a direct reduction mega module by Midrex method with the capacity of 1.5 million tons a year

Project details In this method, iron oxide is transferred to the material handling through train unloading or the truck in the form of pellets and then will be transferred from material handling area by conveyor belt to the storage piles and the top of the furnace and will be charged into the furnace afterwards. The pellet will be reduced and transferred to HBI machines from under the furnace after passing through various parts of the furnace. The reduced pellet which is called HBI hereinafter will be transferred to the product storage and accumulation area and will be prepared for sale or being transferred to the melting unit. The reduction gas is made through reforming natural gas inside the reformer and is injected into the reduction furnace.
